Some people are estranged from God by Christianity. They see and do not yet understand that Christians are people who often differ only slightly from non-Christians by their understanding of and/or their need for God’s grace. Not only has Christendom in America devolved to Christianity-lite, but recent years of accelerating decay and compromise in the core beliefs of Christians provides us all a big wake-up call. There are many influences pulling us away from Jesus Christ through the manipulation of our needy egos. The demonic influencers who know too well how to focus our attention on the world of the flesh. The fact is, we are at war, and it is the prince of the world who is scoring most of the battlefield victories.

A spiritual war is playing out right before our very eyes and we cannot even see it because we cannot think deeply enough spiritually or morally to either see it or understand it. In prior millennia, Satan used to focus efforts at demonic influence through accusation and deception. His tactics are now more advanced and have evolved with the complexities of the modern world. He now more often uses imperceptible values compromises and distraction, the latter achieved through selfishness for most and self-aggrandizement for others, which he hatches through plots we see as harmless because they appeal to our egos. I guess these are really just more modern forms of deception.

Scripture supports the fact that people in power are there with God’s knowledge and approval and He can use them to the benefit of the world and mankind in spite of the fact that individuals may be under the influence of darkness. Sadly, some Christians don’t see it, or sweep bad moral character under the rug, or let it slide. And instead of either saying nothing or deflecting to the guidance of scripture, they jump on the secular humanist bandwagon. This is a tough one. For example, you will see on the home page that there is a link to a slide deck video called “Tribal Flags of Confusion and Division.” So, I ask what would Jesus have us do?

Governments are the top offenders in this ever-strengthening imperceptible walk of compromise. It started at the federal level where the globalists and secular humanists have overtaken the agenda and are starting to snuff out the light from the city on a hill – America. The recent history of the United States of America is the only proof you need to confirm the spiritual war among us – the Afghanistan withdrawal, the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hamas-Israeli-Iranian proxies war, Ukraine-Russia-China-Taiwan, and sadly, Congressional and Executive moral leadership failures of epic proportions. The demon’s game to draw us away from the cornerstone through all means and methods that place all purpose, thought, decisions, and inter-actions on the self is how this is happening. This makes our minds and thoughts captive to the world. Everyone sees the impacts of Satan’s depravity cycle at the federal level, and I have lived it and seen it at the regional and local level as well. Although his long-term plan, schemes, and tools are well-hidden due to the very nature of his approaches, we expose his nearly imperceptible and insidious game in our book, The Great American Backslide and Our Silent Partnership with Darkness – Living in Opposition to Evil’s Influence.

Awaken to his schemes! Read this book and find out how. Because the more people he can numb to the ever-lasting realm, the more destruction he is achieving by distracting us, making us stupid and dysfunctional, and scheming us into morality modification so he can achieve his objectives. He just wants to destroy our souls and bring as many as he can down with him. And he is having a lot of fun doing it nowadays!

I am joyfully at peace as I watch and pray from the sidelines as America becomes more and more estranged from God by Christianity. Undoing that requires an understanding of evil and recognizing what a threat it has become in the evil days we are in now. But many people I love and care about, both believers and non-believers, are personally estranged from God. They are separated by weak faith, lack of vision, complacency with a world dominated by the dominion of darkness, and the fear that they might not be accepted. Well, brothers and sisters, Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever (1 John 2:15-17). Satan’s successes are not where my problems lie. He is immaterial. He cannot harm me with the Holy Spirit within me. But he is marginalizing Christ’s bride and the people who are supposed to represent Christ and His ways. That the light emanating from the city on a hill and the people who comprise its citizens is flickering, this is where my pain lies.
